It depends upon the size of your organization and the IT infrastructure you are currently using. If you fleet organization is relatively small, a PC will be sufficient for housing the data. Larger organizations may require an SQL server. The system will run on any windows OS including SQL Depending upon your internal information sharing needs, E-DT can also develop secure Intranet and Web applications. In what cities does the FleetLog system work?
The FleetLog system works in any city in the United States. How often you are able to receive data from your vehicles depends upon the data access transmission option you choose. For example, you may receive data on a real-time continuous basis if you install the FleetLog03 system because it the primary communication infrastructure for the FleetLog03 system is the GPRS or GSM wireless network platform. When your vehicles are traveling in GPRS enabled areas, all information is being tracked and transmitted real-time. If your vehicles happen to leave a GPRS or GSM coverage area, the FleetLog unit continues to record all pre-assigned data parameters and which can be downloaded once the vehicle returns to the GPRS enabled network area. If you choose the FleetLog 01 or 02 systems, data is automatically transmitted to the assigned headquarters PCs once the vehicle, which is equipped with a Radio Frequency (RF) modem, comes within the 150 yard range of the RF receiving antennae. How many vehicles can be tracked at one time?

Can these zones be modified or changed?
There is no zone or grouping limitation with FleetLog products. Within the software, you can define a tree of organizational groups (with infinite sub-groups), and to each group you can connect its own vehicles and zones. In this manner you can define for each manager, their own group of vehicles/zones to track, view and analyze – depending upon which system you have selected. For example, you might have several large fleet groups such as: Police, Fire, Road Maintenance, etc.. Within each fleet group you would then create a new hierarchy of groups that could be geographically and organizationally based. Are there restrictions to the number of assets (vehicles, etc.) that can be monitored?
There are no software restrictions on the number of vehicles that can be tracked. The customer’s ability to manage and see all vehicles on the same map is the primary limitation. Each group that is defined is tracked on its own screen so it is important for the customer to define as many logical groups and sub-groups for its fleet as appropriate and feasible so they can view all vehicles within a group on a single screen simultaneously. How is user access established? What are the different levels of security?
Your System Administrator can establish your organization’s access rights based upon your security parameters and requirements. Using your System Administrator’s requirements, different groups/levels of security can be defined and assigned to the fleet management user organization which will provide access to only the relevant portion of the software that addresses the vehicles that are relevant to the user based upon his/her login ID.
