Beautiful, yet convenient and practical, the Ford Focus Coupe Cabriolet made its preview debut at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show. Developed jointly by Ford of Europe and Italy’s Pininfarina, the elegant Focus Coupé-Cabriolet will join the Focus ST at the top of the range.

The new Focus Coupé-Cabriolet is a shining example of Ford’s new design and engineering direction – stylish and stimulating, yet a delightful day-to-day car to own.The Focus Coupé-Cabriolet combines Italian style with practicality and those renowned Focus driving qualities. Its smoothly flowing lines and gently arched coupé roof are matched by an elegant yet sporty exterior.

A full four-seater with a substantial luggage compartment, the Coupé-Cabriolet’s powerfolding hardtop allows it to turn from an elegant coupé into a stylish cabriolet within seconds at the push of a button.0-litre Duratec unit. The 1.6-litre petrol unit provides 0-62mph acceleration in 13.6sec, a top speed of 114mph and a combined fuel consumption figure of 39.

Safety of course is paramount in a car like this and Fords new Rollover Protection Device (RPD) plays a vital role in increasing the Coupé-Cabriolet’s passive safety performance. In addition to standard front and side airbags, the RPD is designed to help protect passengers in the event of a vehicle rollover. If the system detects an imminent roll, two safety roll-bars “fire” and extend out by up by 20cm to provide a supportive safety strut along with the ultra-strong windscreen pillars to protect the car’s occupants.

The Ford Ranger has been America’s best-selling compact pickup for 17 years running. While the entry-level pickups from other manufacturers have moved up in size, roominess, features and refinement, the Ranger remains the only real compact pickup.

The 2008 Ranger Super Cab 4X4 is a 2- or 4-door, up to 5-passenger compact pickup, available in 7 trims, ranging from the 126-in. WB XL Styleside 2 Door to the 126-in. WB FX4 Off-Road Styleside 4 Door.Upon introduction, both trims are equipped with a standard 4.0-liter, V6, 207-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 19-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional.

The 2008 Ranger Super Cab 4X4 is a carryover from 2007.FX4 option well worth the price. Great off road and good in town. Interior is perfect for a off road truck. Compact size makes for easy manuevering, parking. Roomy extended cab. Tank-like build quality. Excellent and very functional dash layout (everything in easy reach). Modern touches (e.g. iPod/aux input) in an otherwise classic pickup.
For anybody looking for a classic compact truck, without pretense, of just right”size and certainly impeachable build quality – Ranger warrants a solid look.
