The New 2009 Ford 150 is getting close to production. Up front, the grille is now a three bar design similar to everything else in Ford’s lineup these days. Although the shape of the grille looks similar to the latest Super Duty models, the headlights were spared the odd stacked design of the bigger trucks.

Big chunks of foam below the camo disguises the truck’s profile, but the overall shape appears unchanged from the current model.Changes to the interior appear relatively minor as well. The gauge cluster looks roughly the same as the current truck and the location and styling of the vents and door panels hasn’t changed much either. Given the covers over the center stack it’s a good bet there’s a new radio setup and a revised climate control setup too.

Ford will launch the next-generation F-150 pickup with a diesel powerplant when the new truck goes on sale in 2008 or 2009.The 2009 model year F-150 will hit the showrooms likely in the summer of 2008. It is expected that it will be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2008 with production to start by July.
